Lydia’s hair started to fall out in small patches at five years old, and she was diagnosed with the autoimmune condition alopecia areata. After years of worrying, attending various hospital appointments and using medicines that didn’t improve her condition significantly, she decided to shave her hair off at the age of ten. Now she embraces her beautiful bald look but sometimes chooses to wear a wig.

With the support of her twin brother and family, we take a look into her life. Lydia is determined to become a paramedic, spread awareness about alopecia and help others to love themselves, however, they look.
